The senior accountant is responsible for all finance and accounting aspects of his/her assigned projects, working directly with directors, equity partners and lenders. Needs to be highly organized in work with the ability to manage information and prioritize tasks to meet assigned deadlines. This position reports to the Joint Venture Assistant Controller.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors or Master’s degree in accounting
CPA license
3-5 years’ work experience, including 2+ years public accounting experience
Real estate industry experience preferred
Highly organized in work with ability to manage information and prioritize tasks to meet assigned deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Senior Fixed Asset Accounant - Atlanta

Sr. Fixed Asset Accountant
A healthcare management company located in Atlanta, GA has an immediate need for a Sr. Fixed Asset Accountant. This position is responsible for the monthly preparation of financial statements by applying GAAP and Company accounting policies. Individual will analyze financial statement trends and variances and effectively communicate business drivers of the variances.

Responsibilities for this position are:

Month-end close: compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare journal entries and accruals to general ledger accounts. Analyzes financial statement fluctuations and prepares variance explanations for month end.
Records all fixed asset transactions in accordance with GAAP and Corporate policies. Has ability to apply SOP 98-1 accounting rules for internally developed software.
Prepares variance explanations of the business drivers causing the fluctuations for the balance sheet and profit and loss statements for quarterly reviews and annual audit by external auditors.
Reconciles and analyzes Balance Sheet accounts to source data and systems to ensure all transactions have been accurately recorded. Prepares fixed asset rollforward schedules that tie to the sub ledger. Researches and resolves any issues identified in timely manner.
Prepares audit schedules and provide internal and external auditors with information to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley and quarterly and annual audit requirements.

Qualifications are:
Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Accounting with a minimum of 3-years of fixed asset experience, and 5-6 years of monthly financial close experience and balance sheet reconciliations. This position requires strong analytical, organizational skills and attention to detail is required; with the ability to multi-task and work well in high pressure, dynamic environment. Strong experience with ERP software system (PeopleSoft) is needed and proficiency with Microsoft EXCEL (v-lookup, pivot tables)! Candidates must have strong communication skills both (verbal & writing) and have the ability to work effectively with all levels of management within the organization.

Salary will commensurate with experience; however salary range for this position is $65k to $68k!

Sr. Tax Accountant
A healthcare management company located in Atlanta, GA has an immediate need for a Sr. Tax Accountant who can apply principles of accounting to prepare the sales/use tax returns, property tax returns, assisting in the administration of corporate taxes and ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities for this position are:

Prepares and files monthly, quarterly, yearly sales/use tax returns and property tax returns for various states in timely manner.
Coordinates gathering information for preparation of federal, state and local income tax returns.
Prepares quarterly federal and state estimated tax payments for various legal entities within the Company.
Responds to sales and property tax notices and assists with any tax audits that arise.
Prepare monthly account reconciliations for tax accounts and other balance sheet accounts.

Qualifications are:
Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Accounting with a minimum of 4-years of accounting experience with sales/use tax filing, property tax filing and corporate federal/state income tax filing. Professional work experience in publicly traded companies preferred. CPA license preferred, but not required. This position requires strong analytical, organizational skills and attention to detail is required; with the ability to multi-task and work well in high pressure, dynamic environment. Candidates must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong experience with ERP software system (PeopleSoft) is needed and proficiency with Microsoft EXCEL (v-lookup, pivot tables)! Candidates must have strong communication skills both (verbal & writing) and have the ability to work effectively with all levels of management within the organization.
